CoolChalets Terms and Conditions
Reservations can be taken by email, phone, or letter and are accepted as your intention to book.
Deposits of £100 per person (£200 total for summer) will secure the booking. No contract exists between Coolchalets and you until the deposit has been received and confirmed by us. Please check details carefully as we cannot be responsible for errors.
Balance of payment is due 8 weeks before arrival or at that time if arrival is less than 8 weeks away.
Payment Methods in order of preference are:
- On-
line or in branch to Barclays account "C Yiannakou", sort code 20- 05- 57, account number 60993964. - UK cheque to C. Yiannakou, Accounts, Sud Regarde, Elm Lane, Minster, Kent, ME12 3SQ, UK.
- Credit card via PayPal to chrisyiannakou@lineone.net (2.5% card fee).
- Euro cheque to C. Yiannakou, Chalet Amelie, Grand Gondon, 73700 Bourg St. Maurice, France.
Security Deposit of £200 is required with the balance of payment for summer holidays
only. Subject to no losses or damages, it will be returned within 14 days of the
end of your holiday. The chalet should be returned in the clean condition it was
found otherwise a cleaning charge will be levied. Once the security deposit has been
returned all contractual obligations between both parties shall cease to exist.
Cancellations must be advised in writing (emails ok) & by telephone immediately with the following refunds:
- 50% of balance if cancellation advised between 4 & 8 weeks prior to intended arrival date
- 25% of balance if cancellation advised between 2 & 4 weeks prior to intended arrival date
- Booking deposit is non refundable
Changes to your booking are possible within reason but cannot be guaranteed in all circumstances. If we have to change your holiday we will inform you immediately. If you are unhappy with the changes we will refund all money you have paid, including deposits. Coolchalets cannot be liable for any changes caused by events beyond our control such as power cuts, floods, storm damage, bad weather and water shortages etc.
Inventory (summer holidays only) exists for the chalet and should be checked on arrival.
Bed linen and towels are not provided but can be hired for an additional charge of
£10 per set of bed linen and towels per week. When linen is provided the beds will
not be made up.
Checking in & out is after 16:30 for check-
Insurance is each guests responsibility as is possession of a valid passport and visa if required.
Miscellaneous
- Chalet is strictly non smoking.
- The hot tub is for winter holidays only.
- Descriptions and pictures on the web site are given in good faith. However, changes do occur, in particular we are always trying to upgrade the facilities. Coolchalets is not liable for any errors in the descriptions.
- The Chalet is maintained in good order. Any faults or breakages should be notified to Coolchalets immediately. Coolchalets reserves the right to enter the rooms at any time to remedy problems.
- Coolchalets does not accept liability for loss or damage to Guest’s possessions or motor car during their stay. This includes any loss of data or work as a result of using the CoolChalets computers, network and/or internet.
- Guests must notify CoolChalets of any damages and remedial payment may be required. We reserve the right to refuse to accommodate anyone who refuses to comply with our damages and breakages policy.
- All guests are expected to respect neighbours at all times. This includes disturbance, privacy and any other public nuisance activities. Failure to comply will result in immediate cancellation of the guilty person(s) stay.
Miscellaneous (winter holidays)
- There are no facilities for your own catering or laundry.
- Under normal circumstances guests are expected to vacate the chalet between the hours of 10:00 and 16:00.
- Guests will be supplied with red and white wine during their meal. Any other alcohol to be consumed in the chalet at other times is strictly by prior arrangement only.
- The free private minibus service is for winter holiday guests only.
- We reserve the right to refuse to accommodate anyone who is found guilty of seriously impairing the enjoyment of the other guests and the contract between us and the guilty party shall cease to exist.
- Guests use the hot tub at their own risk and should observe and agree to the displayed rules and regulations.
Miscellaneous (summer holidays)
Guests use the swimming pool at their own risk.
Guests should dry feet before entering chalet to avoid slipping.
